MEET PERSONAL CHEF KAY TOLBERT
I am a long time resident of the vibrant city of Memphis with a wealth of hospitality experience. My mother went vegetarian and took the family with her when I was nine, which actually inspired me to learn cooking. Growing up in the culinary wonderland of New York City inspired a love for exotic spices, fragrant herbs, fresh meat, and seafood.
I honed my knowledge of various cuisines after moving south, through classical training and working at local favorites such as Cafe 1912, PF Changs, Simply Delicious Catering, Cafe Fontana, and Corky's BBQ. I mastered butchery at The Fresh Market and Fayette Packing.
I wanted to be able to resume cooking on a high level without being tied to a restaurant or having to juggle the many, many things that go into event catering. I'm a people person and had customer facing roles when I was learning to master butchery. Over the years, after countless conversations about food preparation, choosing the right cuts, and so on... so many of my regulars had asked me if they could hire me to cook for them. I finally decided to just start doing it.

I am now not only doing what I love, but doing it in a way that empowers my clients to achieve their health goals, or adhere to new and necessary dietary changes and restrictions. Best of all, I get to be a part of creating cherished memories and help impress their friends and family along the way!
Whether it's creating innovative dishes to pair with the wines you picked for girl's night or crafting the perfect meal plan for a newly adopted lifestyle, my passion for this craft shines through in every dish I plan and prepare.
The joy I receive from helping others, and mantra of living well through healthy habits motivated me to start this venture and share my talents in the comfort of your home.
